Verizon’s LG Optimus LTE2, the VS930, might ship on July 13

Verizon is sure having a busy month of new releases. Set to join the ranks of other notable offerings like the Samsung Galaxy S3 and HTC Droid Incredible 4G LTE is LG’s own VS930. The proof is in the freshly leaked pictures of the phone, which have been spotted by Engadget.

The LG VS930 will most likely take the torch from LG Spectrum (VS920) and continue LG’s run in the increasingly competitive smartphone race. Judging from the pictures, the VS930 does resemble the look of LG Optimus LTE 2 – and will probably end up becoming Verizon variant of the phone. It’s still unclear what name Verizon will end up using for the phone, though.

With specs like a dual-core 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 processor, 4.7-inch True HD IPS display of 1280 x 720 resolution, 16GB internal storage, 1GB RAM, 8MP rear camera, 1.3MP front-facing camera, NFC and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich – the phone should make a worthy foe to the Galaxy S3 or the One X at AT&T. It’s a pity the VS930 doesn’t come with the same amount of RAM like its South Korean cousin.

If the specs of the LG VS930 sound like music to your ear, you may not have to wait too long for the phone to arrive. The VS930 will reportedly come as early as July 13, or this week’s Friday.

Assuming that it’ll be priced more competitively than the Galaxy S3, will you consider buying the LG VS930?
