Verizon LG G2 set to feature exclusive wireless charging
Look at that sexy, super thin bezel. Just look at it.
The LG G2 was launched last week and LG looked to have thrown everything in but the kitchen sink (although they might have found room for that too, only the teardowns can confirm). Turns out LG also skipped out on the inclusion of wireless charging as there was no mention of the feature at the event.
However, the sign up site for the Verizon version of the LG G2 has revealed that the G2 will have wireless charging exclusively for the Verizon variant. Now we dislike carrier exclusives as much as the next site, and while the LG G2 will be one of the first LG smartphones to be available on all four major U.S. carriers, it hasn’t been able to escape the carrier exclusives trap.
Other differences between the Verizon variant and the international version include the plastering of a Verizon logo on the bezel on top of the screen and on the back plate, as well as some faux-chrome around the rim of the camera and on the volume buttons.
The LG G2 features a Full-HD, 5-inch IPS display, a quad-core Snapdragon 800, 2GB of RAM, a 13MP camera with OIS technology, and a massive 3000mAh battery.
We don’t have an exact release date just yet, although the unofficial word is that the G2 will launch in late September. One thing’s for sure though, Android Authority will be sure to keep you up to date with the latest LG G2 news.
