Toshiba AT7-A tablet with entry-level specs revealed through GFXBench
According to GFXBench‘s records, Toshiba is working on a new 7-inch tablet that uses a 1.6GHz processor and a Mali-400MP GPU. Also, it will come with a 1024×600 pixel resolution screen, as well as Android version 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. Until the day that the official announcement for this particular Toshiba tablet arrives, we are going to tentatively call it the Toshiba AT7-A.
A report from Notebook Italia says that this yet-to-be announced Toshiba tablet has managed to get a score of 17,639 on AnTuTu benchmark, which is mildly impressive, considering it doesn’t really look like it’ll be a high-performance device based on what we know about it so far. But who knows? Maybe its 1.6GHz CPU rocks a total of four separate cores (at least), which would be an awesome thing if it ends up to be a mere entry-level model.
We’ll have to keep waiting for more info on this particular tablet, preferably from Toshiba itself, but for now we can say that we’ll be keeping an eye out for it.
