The Motorola One will launch in the US after all, but what about Power variant?

TL;DR

  • The Motorola One will be available in the U.S. starting November 9.
  • The phone will only be available through Best Buy in black and white.
  • The Motorola One is Motorola’s latest Android One smartphone.

A few months after Motorola launched the Motorola One in several international markets, the company has announced it will bring its new Android One smartphone to the U.S.

Starting November 9, you can order the phone online through Best Buy for $399. You can wait another two days if you want to pick up the phone in-store, though the same $399 price applies.

Finally, a Motorola representative told Engadget it had no plans to bring the Motorola One Power to the U.S. The Power model differs from the standard device by offering a bigger screen, larger battery (5,000mAh), and a faster chipset (Snapdragon 636).

Even when compared to its Power stablemate, the Motorola One brings plenty to the table. As a refresher, the phone features a 5.9-inch display with a 1,520 x 720 resolution, rear 13MP+2MP cameras, 8MP selfie camera, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 625 processor, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of expandable storage, and a 3,000mAh battery.

Motorola One review: Nice phone, but not the one for me

Reviews

The good news is that there aren’t that many Android One smartphones in the U.S. for the Motorola phone to compete against. The bad news is that the ones that are available are relatively more affordable. For example, the Nokia 7.1 costs $350 and features the more powerful Snapdragon 636 chipset. The Nokia 6.1 is also an Android One smartphone, packs the Snapdragon 630, and costs $230.

With that said, the Motorola One serves as another option for those who want a clean Android experience and do not want to pay an arm and a leg for the privilege. Looking to buy the phone? You can pre-order it via the button below.
