Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini arrives SIM-free and on-contract in the UK

We had been expecting the Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini to come available for those in the UK, and well, those who may have been waiting — now is the time. The handset is available with a variety of carriers and with a variety of retailers. In other words, you can grab the Galaxy S3 Mini either on-contract or SIM-free.

Of course, the pricing will vary depending on which route you take. Those looking to go the on-contract route, the handset will be free. Those choosing to go the SIM-free route, expect to pay around £299.99. So far we have seen listings with both Three and O2. Both of these carriers have the handset available on and off-contract.

Three UK has it for free on the £28 per month Ultimate Internet 500 plan and also for free on the £32 per month One Plan. The SIM-free pricing with Three is £269.99. Moving over to O2 and they have the Galaxy S3 Mini available with no upfront cost on plans from £27 per month and higher. The SIM-free pricing with O2 is £299.99.

Otherwise, the Galaxy S3 Mini can also be found with retailers such as Expansys and Clove, both of whom have it priced close. Expansys is at £299.99 with VAT included and Clove has it priced at £310.80 with VAT included.

As a recap, the Galaxy S3 Mini is available in white or blue and with features to include Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, a 4-inch Super AMOLED display, dual-core 1GHz processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot, NFC and a 5 megapixel rear-facing camera.

All said and done, the Galaxy S3 Mini seems like a solid deal at these prices, however the regular-sized Galaxy S3 (even with a little upfront cost) still seems like a better deal. Well, that is unless you are buying the Mini entirely because of the smaller size.
