Razor Salvation THD, Sumioni Demon Arts THD hit the Play Store

If you’re a fan of action gaming on your Tegra-powered Android device, you’re in luck. Two new games were released in the Google Play Store: Razor Salvation THD and Sumioni Demon Arts THD.

Razor Salvation THD

Razor Salvation THD is a futuristic first person shooter (FPS) that casts you as the commander of the dropship “Salvation.” According the the game’s Google Play Store page, your job is “rescuing Earth’s inhabitants and helping with the EDSF defence effort.” Luckily, in order to help you accomplish this, the game provides you with classic FPS staples like grenade launchers, rocket launchers and railguns.

While this game and its iOS predecessor are both fairly new, they are supposed to be only the first games in a series that will “take the player along the story of the Xenos and why they have invaded our planet Earth.” The THD edition of Razor Salvation has some additional features on top of those featured in the original, the most interesting of which is a level based in Nvidia’s Santa Paolo headquarters.

Originally released for the Playstation Vita, Sumioni Demon Arts is a platformer with a twist. Instead of just jumping from platform to platform, you need to “paint” platforms for your character to use, making the game very well suited to touch-based controls.

Utilizing the gorgeous sumi-e art style, Sumioni Demon Arts THD uses ink as both a design aesthetic and a gameplay mechanic. In addition to painting platforms for Agura to use, you are also able to use the touchscreen controls to summon “Inkgods” who will help you overcome the odds. While it sounds unusual–and it is–Sumioni Demon Arts THD might be a refreshing change of pace for avid gamers.

Have you tried either of these games yet? What do you think? Are you planning on buying either of them?
