Ordering an Android Wear smartwatch? Google's Android Wear Help Center is loaded with the info you need

You’ve spent months drooling over the idea of an Android Wear powered smartwatch, pitting the LG G Watch against the Motorola Moto 360 to decide which you would purchase. Along came Google I/O and boom, all of a sudden there is a Samsung smartwatch ready for order alongside the G Watch, and the Moto 360 is still months away, what should you do?

It looks like we are not the only ones that want to help you make the decision, Google has launched the handy Android Wear Help Center to help you get through. The help center is a part of Google’s Support website, it provides a wealth of information, not only for the available devices themselves, but also for working with Android Wear in general.

Prepare for goodies like: “What still works when the watch isn’t paired.” Well, without a connected Android smartphone or tablet you have no internet connectivity, which also means no voice actions. Luckily, you’ll still be able to check the time. Here is the full list of unpaired functions.

Which watch should you get?

Sorry, that’s still up to you. Keep tabs on the site, we are going to discuss and debate this in detail soon. Until then, if you are dedicated to the round watch face design, the Moto 360 will be out “later this summer.” Don’t forget about the Kairos watch, which is in early development, and the inexpensive ASUS smartwatch set for later this year. As for the two Android Wear devices that can be had from the Google Play Store, why don’t I give you the specs and prices to help you decide.
