LG G Pro 2 may debut at MWC 2014 in February

Mobile World Congress 2014 is just around the corner and with just one month to wait, the rumors about what we might expect to see showcased are starting to heat up. The latest device tipped to make an appearance is the LG G Pro 2, the successor to the LG Optimus G Pro. Korea’s Electronic Times is reporting that the handset could make an appearance at next month’s MWC, and it looks like something pretty special.

The LG G Pro 2 is expected to ship with Android 4.4 KitKat installed, and the phone reportedly features a 6-inch full HD screen and a Snapdragon 800 CPU. Though we don’t have the full details just yet, bolstered by 3GB of RAM, this is unlikely to be a slouch.

In fact, LG’s latest handset appears remarkably similar to the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, with 3GB of RAM becoming commonplace in higher-end devices. Very little else is known about the handset at this stage, but there is allegedly support for not only LTE, but also LTE-Advanced networks.

As this could be LG’s first handset running KitKat out of the box, it will be breaking new ground for the South Korean electronics giant.
