HTC One 2 (M8) “preliminary” specs and features include Snapdragon 800 CPU, KitKat with Sense 6.0 on top

The purported specs and features of the HTC M8, which will reportedly be called the HTC One 2, have been detailed again in a short tweet from a well-known leaker.

Interestingly, @evleaks, who has been accurate with his previous mobile-related leaks, labels the HTC M8’s specs as “preliminary,” suggesting that things aren’t set in stone.

According to him, the phone will pack a 5-inch Full HD 1080p display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor (MSM874,) 2GB of RAM, UltraPixel rear camera, 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera, 802.11 a/b/g/b/ac Wi-Fi and run KitKat under the hood with Sense 6.0 on top.

We’ll note that the M8 doesn’t appear to have the latest flagship Qualcomm processor (the Snapdragon 805) on board, according to this leak, something a previous rumor also suggested. It’s also not clear what kind of rear camera the phone will have – or better said, how many UltraPixels it will have, compared to its predecessor. the same previous rumor indicated that the HTC M8 will pack a 4 UltraPixel camera like the original HTC One.

That said, this is still just a rumor, so treat it appropriately.
