HTC Droid Incredible 4G LTE is now available at Verizon for $149.99

The Incredible 4G LTE follows on the footsteps of the 2010 Incredible and 2011 Incredible 2, and is, as its name proudly states, the first in the series to come with 4G LTE connectivity. Although it’s a significant update over the first two Incredible editions, the new 4-incher doesn’t seem like a real winner to us. The Droid comes at a time when Samsung’s Galaxy S3 seems to be heading full speed to the title of “best sold Android smartphone ever”.

Verizon has priced the Droid Incredible 4G LTE sensibly enough to undercut the Galaxy S3, but it still feels like HTC’s new phone is just not worth its price. Technically available for $149.99 with a new two-year carrier agreement, the phone requires you to shell out 200 bucks out of your pockets at the time of purchase, with a quarter of that returning to you in the form of a mail-in rebate. That’s only for handhelds purchased from physical stores, however, with phones bought online  automatically applying the $50 discount.

Assuming that at least some of you will still choose the Incredible 4G LTE over the S3, we should tell you that all of the phone’s suspected features and specs have been confirmed. The handheld comes packing a dual-core 1.2 GHz Snapdragon S4 processor, coupled with an Adreno 225 GPU and 1 GB of RAM.

Running Android 4.0 ICS out of the box with HTC’s Sense UI 4.0 on top, the 4-incher sports a 960 x 540 pixels resolution S-LCD capacitive touchscreen, and features 8 GB of internal memory, 8 MP/1.3 MP dual cameras, a 1,700 mAh battery, a microSD card slot, and Beats Audio technology.

Is anyone here thinking of getting Verizon’s new Droid Incredible 4G LTE? Does it hold any kind of advantage in a battle against Samsung’s Galaxy S3? Let us know in the comments section below.
