While traditional bulky, loud, and expensive projectors still exist, there are now more options for those looking for a slim, portable model. Mini projectors not only take up less room, but a smaller profile also makes it easier to enjoy movies away from home!
With so many options out there, it’s hard to tell which projectors are worth your cash. Worry not, as we have taken it upon ourselves to create a list with the best mini projectors around. Let’s dig right in.

1. ZTE Spro 2
The ZTE Spro 2 is old (we reviewed it back in 2015), but it is still one of the best options when it comes to portable mini projectors. What makes it most unique is that it can operate completely independently. The unit features a 5-inch display and runs Android 4.4 KitKat.
With access to the Google Play Store and all apps Android has to offer, you need no extra devices to connect to it. In addition, it has a 6,300mAh battery and some versions even have cellular data connectivity. You can really take this anywhere.
With 200 lumens of brightness and a 720p resolution, you can project images of up to 120 inches. ZTE no longer sells this one directly, but you can still find plenty of devices on Amazon.
2. Anker Nebula Mars II Pro
Anker’s Nebula projectors offer great video and sound quality, as well as plenty of features. The Anker Nebula Mars II Pro is one of the most expensive of the bunch at $549.99, but it’s only a bit pricier than the Nebula Capsule II and offers much more.
It has a 720p resolution with a whopping 500 lumens of brightness, as well as superb sound thanks to its 10W surround speaker system. The 12,500mAh battery reportedly allows for 3 continuous hours of operate. And because it runs Android 7.1, you have access to all the apps you could need.
3. LG PF50KA Cinebeam
The LG PF50KA Cinebeam mini projector is small and portable, while also offering plenty of entertainment features. The unit has a 1080p resolution, 600 lumens of brightness, and can project up to 100 inches in screen size.
The embedded battery should last about two and a half hours, which is a bit below average, but not significantly so. You can use Bluetooth to connect to external speakers and headphones, as well as USB-C. At $646.99, it is a pretty nice mini projector to carry around in your bag.
4. Viewsonic M1
The Viewsonic M1 is arguably the best looking projector in this list, mostly thanks to its unique 360-degree rotating stand. The Viewsonic M1 doesn’t just look great, it has plenty of desirable features including a whopping 6 hours of battery life, Harman Kardon speakers, and 250 lumens of brightness. It can also project images up to 100 inches, which seems to be pretty standard for projectors in this class. Its only downside is its 854×480 definition, which is below HD standards.
5. Apeman M7
The Apeman M7 is very affordable at only $219.99 from Amazon. Despite the cheap price, it features pretty reasonable specs, including an 854×480 resolution, up to 100 inches of screen real estate, and a 5,500mAh battery that should project for about 2.5 hours. However, you do have to sacrifice on brightness, as it tops off at 100 lumens.
6. RIF6 Cube
This little Rif6 cube is tiny and super cute. Specs include an 854×480 resolution and about 90 minutes of battery life. It also comes with a wireless speaker that is similarly designed. Brightness is pretty low at 50 lumens, but this is easily the most portable projector in this list. If you want something you can easily carry around, you can’t do better than the RIF6 Cube.
7. Acer C202i
The Acer C202i is another great portable projector option coming from a reputable brand. Its feature set includes an 854 x 480 resolution, 300 lumens of brightness, and a very nice battery life that should last up to 5 hours on a single charge. The price is a little high at $273.71, but the battery life is unmatched at this size.
8. Kodak Luma 350
The Kodak Luma 350 is special in that it’s one of the few portable projectors that come with Android baked in. This means you need no secondary device to operate it. Brightness is lacking at 150 lumens, and we wish the 854 x 480 resolution was higher, but the convenience of Android makes up for these downsides. There is a 5,500mAh battery inside, and price is set at $289.99.
