Android 4.3 update starts rolling out for Sony Xperia T, TX, V and SP

Cutting it pretty close, Sony has now announced that the update is now starting to rollout. Aside from Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and all the expected changes that come with it, there’s also many Sony-specific goodies including updates to Messaging, Smart Connect, Track ID and Sony Select. There’s also new versions of Sony’s media apps and the addition of downloadable themes, such as those now found on the Xperia Z series.

For those that are hoping to see battery improvements with the update, all the devices will also receive the newly updated Power Management hub, which includes options designed to help save battery life. Whether these options actually make a major difference for your device is probably up to debate, however.

If you’ve yet to receive the update just yet, don’t worry. As is to be expected, this will be a staged rollout and could take days to reach everyone. If you’re extra impatient, you can always try checking for the update manually by going to your device’s settings.

So how about it, anyone see the update for the Sony handset just yet? If so, what device and was it an unlocked or carrier model?
