The Orange San Diego is not your ordinary Android smartphone. Released on June 6 in the UK, it marks Intel’s first foray in the smartphone market, as it is powered by the company’s 1.6GHz Atom Z2460 Medfield processor.
Though the Atom-based 4-inch phone is by no means a slouch, early adopters were rather puzzled by Intel’s decision to ship it only with Android 2.3 Gingerbread, which didn’t exactly help convince more buyers to flock to the San Diego.
BLU has announced a new smartphone called the Vivo 8L, which comes with an affordable price tag and a massive battery.

Features
Although its specs won’t blow your socks off, the device still has enough power under the hood for the average user. It sports a 5.3-inch display with Full HD resolution and is powered by the MediaTek 6753 chipset. A large 4,000 mAh battery keeps the light on, which is impressive based on the size of the device.
It has not been a good 2014 so far for GoGo, one of the most popular providers of in-flight WiFi.
AT&T said it will use “existing relationships within the aviation industry” to gain distribution. AT&T, however, could bundle in-flight plans with its existing wireless service.
According to GoGo, they will be launching GTO (Ground to Orbit) technology in 2015 that will use satellite technologies with GoGo’s Air to Ground (ATG) cellular network which will be a boost in speed up to 60 Mbps per aircraft.
Update (05/07/2018): Google Lens in the Google Assistant is slowly spreading across the Android ecosystem, and now it looks like OnePlus phones are next in line. According to redditors (spotted by XDA-Developers), the OnePlus 3, OnePlus 3T, OnePlus 5, and OnePlus 5T have all received the augmented reality feature.
The Assistant-enabled feature lets you point your camera at objects, text, barcodes or landmarks, getting information about them in the process. Google Lens also reads QR codes, allowing you to get rid of that dedicated app.

TL;DR
Google has officially filed a trademark for a product called Pixel Watch. This is the strongest evidence yet that a Google-branded smartwatch is on the way soon. It’s possible the watch could land as early as next month at Google I/O, although that’s still a very shaky rumor. For literally years now, we’ve heard rumor after rumor about a Google-branded smartwatch being in the works.
HTC has just published the kernel source code for the new One M9 handset on the HTC Dev site. If you’re a developer looking to enhance your application functionality on the One M9, you can head to the dev site and download the kernel that clocks in at 517MB. Regular consumers don’t really have much use for the source code, but it’s there for the taking if developers want it. The kernel can also be used to create custom ROMs for the device, so we’ll hopefully get to see some new ROMs become available in the near future.
There are many reasons for buying a cover or case for your mobile device, ranging from added protection to just being aesthetically pleasing. After all, if you have to shell out over $500 for the latest high-end device, even minor scratches can be incredibly annoying. Even if OEMs claim increased durability, it’s always better to be safe, rather than sorry.
At an event hosted in Seattle, HTC unveiled a new cover design for its flagship device, the HTC One X.
The LG V30 is shaping up to be a compelling flagship phone for many reasons, from its promising new camera to the range of multimedia software options present. It’s also the first time the V series had opted for an OLED display panel. It’s LG Display’s latest Plastic-OLED panel to be precise, which also means that Samsung Display and the Galaxy Note 8 have a direct competitor, in terms of display technology, for the first time.
It’s been a long and agonizing wait for Galaxy S Blaze 4G owners, but it now seems that the 4-inch mid-ranger is finally ready to get that much awaited software bump. And while the ICS leap means that the Blaze is still one step behind the times, I’m sure that most of those who bought the phone since March 2012 will receive the news with unrestrained joy.
Samsung and T-Mobile have both assured early Blaze 4G buyers that they won’t be stuck to Android 2.
Like the Samsung Galaxy S4 but feel that its current color palette is a bit lacking? Today’s your lucky day. At Samsung’s Premiere 2013 event, the Korean giant announced it will soon be introducing five brand new colors to the mix: Blue Arctic, Purple Mirage, Red Aurora, Brown Autumn and Pink Twilight. That’s certainly a big jump from the current Black Frost and Artic White options.
When can we expect these new color choices, and where?
