GameStop to accept Android tablet and smartphone trade-ins soon

Green Dot introduces "real" smartphone banking with GoBank

There has not been any real internet bank. At least not until now. Even if you can use PayPal, Passbook or Google Wallet to pay for purchase online or on-site, money has to come from somewhere, which is usually a credit card or even your PayPal balance (which itself comes from a card or bank account). Green Dot, a company that provides prepaid Visa debit cards, has announced a smartphone app which serves as a bank in itself.

Nokia Maps rebranded as Here, coming to Android and iOS

Disappointed by the iPhone’s map functionality? Then here comes some  respite. Nokia has announced its latest strategy pertaining to its trademark Nokia Maps service by re-branding it as “Here” and launching beyond the Windows Phone platform. Here will come to iPhone/iOS as a dedicated maps app, whereas Android will get an open source developers kit, so that developers can use Here data on native maps applications. Here will also feature a web-version supporting Firefox OS in the coming year.

Obi-Wan Kenobi recap: series premiere on Disney Plus

Disney Plus The wait is over! Obi-Wan Kenobi has premiered on Disney Plus, marking the return of a fan-favorite Star Wars character, starring Ewan McGregor. The series launched with a two-episode premiere last night, May 26, jumping the gun on the announced air time by a few hours. Telegram will counter Zoom with its take on group video calls

Expect it to be available on PCs, phones, and tablets. Telegram hasn’t been shy about courting fleeing WhatsApp users, and now it’s aiming at a new target: people who want an alternative to Zoom.  As TechCrunch reports, Telegram founder Pavel Durov has revealed that his messaging app will add a group video call feature sometime in May.
