While all the major U.S. carriers are doing their best to change up some of their policies or offer unique promotions in the wake of T-Mobile’s uncarrier strategy, none seem to have been hit harder by T-Mobile’s recent moves than AT&T. For AT&T’s part, they’ve done their best to counter the Uncarrier with their own moves such as introducing AT&T Next and offering T-Mobile customers up to $450 to switch over to AT&T.

Gmail might add self-destructing emails in future update

TL;DR A new report says Google is adding new self-destructing email features in Gmail. The new “confidential mode” will reportedly let users set their emails to expire after one week, one month, or other time periods. Gmail users can also make recipients type in a passcode to open emails. TechCrunch provided screenshots showing the feature, called “confidential mode”. It will reportedly lets Gmail users send emails that can be set to expire, meaning that the recipients won’t be able to download, forward or print those emails after a certain time period.

Google Currents gets a major makeover

We’ve gotten a peek at Google Currents’ new layout last month, and now it’s here for everyone to enjoy. The update brings the magazine-style reader app even closer to Flipboard territory. What’s more, the long-awaited widget finally makes an appearance. If you’re used to the old UI, things can get pretty confusing at first. Lenovo IdeaPad K1 gets Android 4.0 update, casual users may want to steer clear

Joining the drove of Honeycomb tablets that were released in 2011, Lenovo’s IdeaPad K1 became the company’s first foray in the Android tablet market. A year later, it looks like Lenovo is  ready to drop support for the K1, but not without first giving away some parting gift. Lenovo is releasing a basic and non-customized Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich update for the IdeaPad K1, which won’t come with the company’s launcher, pre-installed apps, and even Google Play Store.

Sony Xperia Z2 announced, features Snapdragon 801 CPU and 3GB RAM

Although the Sony Xperia Z2 looks fairly reminiscent of its predecessor, both the improved software and hardware features make the Xperia Z2 a major leap forward from the Z1. This phone has six cameras and mind-reading AI

TL;DR Honor Magic 2 revealed at China launch event. The AI-powered phone features a manual slide-out triple-lens selfie camera, the Kirin 980 SoC, and a “mind-reading” virtual assistant called YOYO. The Magic 2 goes on sale on November 6 in China starting at 3,799 yuan (~$545). We’ve known it was coming for quite some time, but Honor has finally unveiled the Honor Magic 2. Upcoming Android game lets you kill Super Mario once and for all

A quick look at Google Play will turn up a number of games that at least somewhat resemble the mechanics, features, and graphical style of classic titles like Super Mario Brothers, with one example being the once-big-hit Flappy Bird. Most of these games have had enough differences in their design as to allow them to pass through both Google Play and the App Store unnoticed and unchallenged, but a new reverse platformer called Kill the Plumber ran into a bit of trouble.
