It looks like Netflix uses some form of IP-based blocking to shut down VPN access, so a simple IP change by the VPN could in theory thwart the measure. TL;DR OnePlus is switching phones in mainland China to Color OS rather than the usual Oxygen OS. This reflects “different usage habits in the country,” according to OnePlus. This takes effect starting with the OnePlus 9 series. Oxygen OS won’t be the only software on OnePlus phones going forward. OnePlus has revealed that phones it sells in mainland China will ship with a customized version of Oppo’s Color OS, starting with the 9 series.

The up and coming Chinese manufacturer Oppo has made a name for itself with the Find 5, a sleek piece of technology combining high-end specifications with a fresh take on Android. With the newly launched N1, Oppo builds and extends on the foundation it laid with the Find 5. The device features great hardware, a unique swiveling camera, and a rear mounted touchpad. And, while the 5.9-inch device is impressive on its own, it has a special claim to fame: it’s the first smartphone to ship with CyanogenMod on board, the Android-based operating system developed by Cyanogen Inc.

The Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2 launched in India in December 2018. The device took Xiaomi’s formula of delivering great specs at a fantastic price and carried it a step further. TL;DR The Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus’ latest update includes a new 480fps super slow-motion mode. The new mode replaces the existing 960fps option for manual mode, though 960fps is still available in automatic mode. The update also includes the July security patch and stabilizes AR Emoji. Even though the Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus include the much-touted 960fps super slow-motion mode, Reddit users noted that the phones’ latest update introduces a new 480fps mode.

A substantial update is being rolled out for Xperia Z ultra owners, bringing with it a slew of features that probably should have been included at launch. The update also has one very important feature that could really set a standard for all mobile devices moving forward. Check out the video below for a good look at the difference it brings. The Xperia Z Ultra is the first instance of X Reality being included in a smartphone, so we’re not sure how it will affect things like battery life yet.

The trailer for the Leviathan Warships Android game has just been posted online, and it’s exactly what you would expect from a game that’s using the motto “Ship just got real” (pun is most certainly intended). Leviathan Warships is a turn-based strategic action game that lets you build a fleet and fight against the AI or your friends on Android and other platforms. According to the developer’s website, Leviathan Warships is coming on April 30, on several platforms: Android, Windows, Mac, or iOS users will all get to try out their fleet command skills.
