Samsung intros HomeSync, a 1TB Jelly Bean-powered media streamer

There are plenty of Android dongles offered for less than $100 in the market that can turn your regular TV into a smart TV. But if what you need is something that’s obscenely bigger (storage-wise), faster, and more powerful — Samsung HomeSync is the Android-based media storing, sharing, and streaming device that you’ve been waiting for. Samsung’s HomeSync comes with an attention-grabbing 1TB of storage drive, which some folks will have no problem put to good use – especially considering that the device supports up to eight separate accounts.

Sega Forever - The best Android ports so far and the titles we'd love to see

With the release of Sonic Mania, Sega has been successfully capitalizing on the nostalgia of its fans. It’s a true celebration of everything that made Sonic and Sega great and shows that there’s clearly still a lot of love out there for the console veteran. But this isn’t the only way that Sega has been looking to the past lately. While we might not have been blessed with an Android port of Sonic Mania (yet), we have been able to enjoy a new initiative called Sega Forever.

T-Mobile gives its device recycling program a charitable twist in time for the holidays

According to estimates by the US Environmental Protection Agency, people throw away over 135 million cellphones each year. Instead of tossing your phone in the garbage, it might be better to just recycle your phone through T-Mobile, since the carrier will donate to charities for every device that is recycled. From December 1 through the end of the month, you can visit your local T-Mobile store and recycle your old phone or tablet.

T-Mobile unveils its first phone, the Revvl, with a fingerprint sensor and budget price

After several rumors and leaks, some of which came from T-Mobile itself, the magenta-colored carrier officially unveiled its self-branded Revvl smartphone. T-Mobile touts the Revvl as a “feature-packed phone” that will not break the bank, and it certainly seems that way on paper. The Revvl features a 5 MP selfie camera above the 5.5-inch, HD-resolution display, as well as a fingerprint sensor and 13 MP camera around back. Under the hood, the Revvl sports a quad-core MediaTek MT6738 processor, 2 GB of RAM, a 3,000 mAh battery, and 32 GB of storage that is augmented by the microSD card slot.

That is what the new Xpower DoubleMag 2-Ways Magnetic Cable is all about.

Asus, Acer, Dell and Lenovo are reportedly preparing 8-inch Android tablets for Q3 2013

According to NPD DisplaySearch, a well-known source of insightful information when it comes to production trends, Android tablet makers will no longer bet only on the casual 7-inch or 10-inch sizes to attract customers. Starting with the third quarter of this year, various manufacturers including Asus, Acer, Dell and Lenovo are preparing to launch new 8-inch devices. Following iPad Mini trend and later the success of the Samsung Galaxy Note 8, it seems the market has developed a new sense for slightly larger slates which can accommodate more content but still keep that high-portability factor and reduced weight.

Authorities must get a warrant to track a person's cell phone location

Yesterday, the United States Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit ruled that a warrant is required for cell phone location tracking since someone’s cell phone location data is included as part of a person’s reasonable expectation of privacy under the Fourth Amendment. In the case, the police used data from cellular providers to catch armed robbers. The police did not get a warrant and instead obtained a court order which instead of requiring ‘probable cause‘ is obtained if there is ‘reasonable grounds to believe” that the information is relevant to such investigation.
