Researchers find Android apps that covertly mine Dogecoin, one of them with more than a million downloads

Two apps in the Play Store, one of them with more than a million downloads, are mining cryptocurrency whenever the device is plugged in for charging. Identified by the researchers of security firm Trend Micro, the apps are some of the first malware found in the Play Store that uses virtual currency mining to generate profits for its developers. Trend Micro found that the two apps, Songs (1 to 5 million installs) and Prized (10,000 – 50,000 installs) mine Dogecoin or Litecoin, which is later converted into Bitcoin.

Samsung Galaxy Note 8 vs Apple iPad Mini

The rivalry between Samsung and Apple has reached an unprecedented level over the past year, but while Samsung seems to have found the perfect recipe for the smartphone market, the Galaxy Tab line was not nearly as successful in taking on the Apple iPad. More recently, Samsung has been making efforts to push the Galaxy Note in the tablet space. A first step was the introduction of the Galaxy Note 10.

SoundBub is a cute Bluetooth speaker made for babies

If you have little babies, you are likely familiar with sound monitors that allow you to know if your child is safe while you are away from his or her crib. Now a company called Wavhello has come up with an idea that turns an ordinary Bluetooth speaker into SoundBub, one that’s made just for babies. The speaker comes in three super-cute designs; Bella the bunny, Ollie the owl and Benji the bear.

T-Mobile’s latest ad mocks AT&T’s iPhone 4S as being slow

It looks like T-Mobile has decided to take a swipe at AT&T and the iPhone 4S in their latest ad campaign, which isn’t really an original concept. The ad begins with a fairly dim witted looking guy cruising slowly on a motorbike, meant to represent the iPhone on AT&T’s network. Along comes a motorbike at breakneck speed (yes, that’s the 4G one), with a hot lady at the helm, and she rips by in the blink of an eye.

The Oppo A71 (2018) uses AI to bring out the most beautiful you

One year between smartphones is very normal. Even six months is something we have seen before, but four months? This means we have the same 5.2-inch display with 720p resolution, main 13 MP camera, front 5 MP shooter, 3,000 mAh battery, and 16 GB of expandable storage.
