Smartphones and the internet are together making the world a more equal, well informed, and overall better place to live in. With the two technologies put together, almost anyone can gather information, start a company and harness the internet to benefit them in ways that were once unimaginable. But for the visually impaired the power of a smartphone is much more difficult to enjoy.
Although smartphones currently have accessibility features like talkback to help the visually impaired, these features pale in comparison to the capability that simple books currently have in Braille.
The OnePlus team waxed poetic about the default wallpaper on the OnePlus 2 and indeed, the image that users see when they power up their new phone for the first time can have a huge influence on the impression the device leaves. As OnePlus’ Helen put it in a blog post, the default wallpaper is a sprinkle of “fairy dust” helping bring everything together.
Now you can download the OnePlus 2 default wallpaper (Pyra) and 25 others, thanks to Oxygen OS lead designer Arz Bathia.
First announced at E3 2018, Gears Pop is a cartoony take on the Gears of War series for mobile devices. As the name implies, the game’s characters have been reimagined as Funko Pop figures with cute oversized heads.
This is obviously a major departure from the grit and grime of the main Gears of War games, but this cutesy reimagining does a good job transforming key parts of the series like cover and lancer battles (without the gore) into a mobile-friendly format.
In addition to the Nova 5 series, Huawei today also announced (via NDTV) the MediaPad M6 series. Coming in 8.4- and 10.8-inch sizes, the devices are the latest entries in Huawei’s line of Android tablets.
Apart from the display size, the 8.4- and 10.8-inch MediaPad M6 differ in battery size — 6,100mAh for the 8.4-inch variant, and 7,500mAh for the 10.8-inch variant. There’s also a weight difference, but that’s to be expected of tablets with different sizes.
Despite the OPPO R11's shining positives, the number of compromises prevents us from recommending it to a global audience. We suggest you go with the similar OnePlus 5, as it offers a much better value for only a slightly higher cost.

OPPO certainly isn’t a name we hear very often in the West. Travel pretty much anywhere in China, however, and you’ll be amazed at just how much you see the italicized green logo.
Whether you’ve grown up playing the classic arcade games or you saw some of those games in movies and dreamt of being born a decade earlier, you are all probably familiar with Atari. The famous gaming developers didn’t have an easy time in adapting to the new age, but their most recent Android title doesn’t look half bad.
Centipede: Origins, recently unleashed in Google Play, is a rehashed version of the Centipede arcade game that made quite a fuss back in the ‘80s.

The latest MIUI 10 beta includes an option for 1080p video recording at 60fps for the Redmi Note 5 Pro. Up until now, Redmi Note 5 Pro owners could record up to 1080p video at 30fps. The update does not include a setting for 4K video recording. Even though Xiaomi bills the Redmi Note 5 Pro as “India’s camera beast,” the phone does not include options to record in 4K or in 1080p at 60fps.

Xiaomi is now the top smartphone brand in Europe, according to a report. The news comes after several Q2 2021 reports found that it was the number two brand globally. Xiaomi has enjoyed a ton of momentum in 2021 as it took second place from Apple in terms of global shipments and delivered impressive yearly growth. The good news isn’t stopping there though, as a European market share report has revealed that the Chinese brand is now number one in Europe.
Now Samsung tries to hammer the point home with a post detailing some of the technical specifications of the Super AMOLED display of the Galaxy S5.
The company explains how the adaptive mode on the Galaxy S5 enables it to quickly change settings like brightness and contrast levels in order to reduce glare and maintain the screen usable even in bright daylight. According to Samsung, the S5 is able to output an Ambient Color Gamut (the set of colors discernible on the screen) that’s 1.
