The Moto X offers quite a few cool features including active display technology and touchless control, making it arguably one of the best Android flagships on the market today — provided you can get past the fact it doesn’t exactly have bleeding edge specs.
Another way that the Moto X sets itself apart from the competition is that it trades LED notifications and other forms of alerts in for active notifications.
HMD Global has scheduled a press event for MWC 2020 where it’s expected to launch a number of Nokia phones. The event will take place on February 23 at 4PM local time (10AM ET). Meanwhile, MWC officially starts on February 24.
As you can see in the image above, the press invite for the Nokia event does not reveal much except for the date and time [the venue is redacted – ed].
Many Pokemon Go fans will have fond memories of FastPokeMap, easily the best Pokemon Go map tracker there was. That is, of course, until Niantic shut it down with an update. According to Niantic, map trackers don’t fall within the spirit of the game and therefore must be destroyed. But FastPokeMap has managed to crack Niantic’s blockade and should be back up and running any time now.
Pokémon Go update brings 6 Pokémon to gym battles and 'catch bonus'
Of all the names that Samsung could’ve used for its latest high-end (or is it mid-range?) handset, it looks like those in South Korea will be introduced to the Galaxy Pop yet again, a phone whose design resembles the oft-delayed Galaxy Premier, but one that shares some similarity to the flagship Galaxy S3 in specs. Don’t mistake it for the old Pop, though.
If it weren’t for its design, the Galaxy Pop SHV-E220S might as well be known as the Galaxy S3 “Midi”.
Since the Samsung Galaxy S9 is now just over a year old, it’s already seen some pretty deep discounts. However, this Samsung Galaxy S9 deal at Cricket Wireless is something else.
Right now, if you port your number to Cricket, you can grab a new Galaxy S9 for just $275. Coincidentally, Samsung itself has the device on sale right now, and even that sale still has it at $500, literally twice the price.

Realme MagDart is the first Android equivalent to Apple’s MagSafe, with the added promise of wired charging speeds over the air. In fact, Realme calls it the world’s fastest magnetic wireless charger. Apple’s MagSafe charges at a rather sluggish 15W while Realme’s MagDart hits peak speeds of over 50W — although, as we’ll see later, its typical charging speeds are a little more modest.
In addition to wireless charging, Realme is utilizing the same magnetic connection for its MagDart Beauty Light, a 60-LED selfie light ring.
I’ve been spending a bit of time with the Sony Xperia 1 II lately and it’s a phone I’ve really been trying to like. It’s undeniably stylish, offers a very minimalistic take on Android, and even though the 21:9 display is very tall the phone feels great to hold. You can read about all this and more in our Xperia 1 II review, but I have a personal gripe with Sony’s new flagship: I can’t get on board with the phone’s camera and that’s a major deal-breaker for me.
Android One is Google’s platform designed to bring affordable Android phones to the masses, but which are the best Android One phones you can buy?
Originally launched in 2014, with the goal of offering cheap smartphones to emerging markets, Google announced a revamp of the program in 2017. Now, it has expanded worldwide to all markets, including the U.S., with the new goal of third-party OEMs selling Android One phones with a stock version of Android, and the promise of regular OS updates that will span at least two years.
Most of the devices that come to market nowadays try to appeal to a wide range of people. But a beautiful glass phone might not be for everyone, and some people need a device that’s more durable in their day-to-day life. Luckily, Cat has been filling that niche with durable smartphones that can survive more than just a drop from your bedside table. The company is probably best known for its large, yellow construction vehicles, but who better to make a phone built to last than a company that specializes in gear made to take a beating?

Samsung’s Gear VR headset is an excellent VR solution that is compatible with disappointingly few handsets. Unlike Google Cardboard, the Gear VR isn’t just a simple viewfinder that you can insert any phone into, it works with only a handful of Samsung’s flagship phones.
Or it works with only a handful of Samsung’s flagship phones natively. One of the developers over at the XDA Developers forums has created a workaround to make other QHD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution phones compatible with the headset.
