MediaTek has been working with Google to port Android TV onto its MT5595 processor. The result is Sony’s latest generation of Bravia TVs, the world’s first Ultra HD TV platform running Android TV.MediaTek’s MT5595 is a quad-core big.LITTLE SoC which includes two ARM Cortex-A17  cores and two ARM Cortex-A7 cores. The SoC also supports Google’s VP9 codec and the HEVC (H.265) codec, both of which are designed for 4K2K content streaming at 60 frames per second.

OnePlus 7 Pro screen receives A+ rating from DisplayMate

Now, the manufacturer has announced that the OnePlus 7 Pro screen received an A+ rating from screen testing company DisplayMate. According to a press release issued by OnePlus, the rating means the device has “one of the best smartphone displays on the market.” OnePlus claimed that the OnePlus 7 Pro achieved “exceptionally good results” when it came to color accuracy, brightness, contrast accuracy, and pixel density. Furthermore, the company said it received “safety for eyes” certification thanks to improved eye protection functionality.

Snapchat teams up with NBC to broadcast key moments from the Winter Olympics

TL;DR Snap is partnering up with NBC to deliver short, live broadcasts of key moments during the Winter Olympics. NBC is also producing two Snapchat-exclusive shows that are available on the Discover tab. NBC said none of its content will feature ads. Snap announced a tool that will allow television networks to stream live broadcasts directly into Snapchat, starting with NBC’s coverage of the Winter Olympics. According to The Wall Street Journal, NBC will use the new Live feature to broadcast two- to six-minute live segments of key moments during figure skating, skiing, and more in the Discover tab.

Target app updated with Black Friday deal location maps, making it easier to find stuff
