When it comes to smartphone graphics, most Android devices use graphics processing units (GPUs) from either Qualcomm (Adreno) or Arm (Mali), but as Yoda would say, there is another.
You maybe have noticed the name PowerVR in relation to some Android processors. PowerVR is a GPU series from Imagination Technologies. The MediaTek Helio P90 processor uses the PowerVR GM9446, the MediaTek Helio X30 uses the PowerVR 7XTP-MT4, and the Helio P22 uses the PowerVR GE8320.
Although the Samsung Neon website and its related social media accounts are vague on details, there are a few things for certain. First, Neon is definitively not a next-step for Bixby, Samsung’s AI assistant that competes with Google Assistant, Siri, and Alexa. Neon makes that very clear in this tweet.
Second, the official description of Neon is “artificial human,” as confirmed by the image above as well as this tweet.

If there’s one thing we know to anticipate when it comes to Google, is that the features and products it introduces today have a high probability of getting killed off some years later. Sometimes this is a good thing and sometimes not. It turns out, though, that one feature of Google Pixel phones is pretty popular for our readers and they’d like it to stick around: Active Edge.

Home security systems used to require expensive long-term contracts and even more expensive equipment. The Samsung Galaxy S10’s face unlock has apparently been defeated by photos and video clips. A prominent developer even reported that she was able to unlock her brother’s Galaxy S10. You should probably stick to the phone’s in-display fingerprint sensor if you value security. The Samsung Galaxy S10 series ditched the iris scanner of prior entries in favor of an in-display fingerprint sensor and camera-based face unlock technology.
This fix includes a number of bug fixes and feature tweaks. Over at the Pixel Phone help site, you can see the various fixes, with the most notable being a camera bug that showed selfie images as a green screen.
