There have been no talks whatsoever regarding stock acquisition of either company.” Back in April, Samsung inked a deal with Best Buy for the creation of 1,400 Samsung Experience Shops, but it looks like their partnership isn’t ending there. Verizon rolls out Marshmallow OTA and April Security patch to Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge

Android 6.0 Marshmallow features Features The interesting point isn’t the Android 6.0.1 update, but how quickly the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge have received the security update. Google gives OEM’s access to the monthly security updates around 30 days before it is announced, at the beginning of the month, and it seems Samsung took the opportunity to just bundle the security patch into the Android Marshmallow rollout. However, what this means is that the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge are now more secure, in terms of patched security vulnerabilities closed by this patch, than the newly released Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge… and even the Nexus 6P, which typically tends to get these security patches first.

Google improved end-to-end security for Android apps that connect to Chrome extensions

Google has added new security functionality for developers that build extensions for the Chrome Browser. TLS/SSL is now supported in the chrome.sockets API. This is great news for Chrome users that love to install productivity and communication extensions on their browser, as it enables the “S” in the HTTPS that you may be familiar with from your standard web browsing. We understand that, until now, extensions have had to rely on websockets or their own encryption techniques to handle secure data transfers.
