There is no doubt about the fact that Google is at the forefront of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML). The evidence lies in a range of Google products — from industry-leading computational photography to making suggestions while we write emails. AI and ML are clearly at the core of all of Google’s efforts. The Pixel 4’s Recorder app is yet another example of Google’s ML prowess. The company released the smart audio recorder app alongside the Pixel 4, using on-device machine learning to automatically transcribe the recording.

LG phones might not be at the height of their popularity in 2020, as Samsung, Xiaomi, and others surpass it in terms of critical and commercial success. It’s easy to forget though that the company isn’t afraid to try new things. Whether it was quad Digital-to-Analog Converter (DAC) audio hardware, an ultra-wide camera, or manual video functionality, the South Korean manufacturer has brought quite a few things to the table. In fact, it might surprise you to know that the company was the first to offer a modern triple camera phone in the LG V40 ThinQ.

By now, you’ve probably seen our Samsung Galaxy S8 review, which means you’re already aware that this is one of the best Android phones of 2017 (so far, that is). Not only is it packed with features and in a compact form factor, it can also take one heck of a picture. It’s certainly a capable phone, but there is one thing that’s given us pause about the Galaxy S8… the lack of a dual camera setup.

Vivo announced the X70 series back in September, bringing the upper mid-range X70 and X70 Pro as well as the X70 Pro Plus flagship. We really liked the latter phone, and now Vivo is back with new flagships in the form of the X80 and X80 Pro. The X80 Pro is the higher end model, and Vivo is offering the phone with either the Mediatek Dimensity 9000 or Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 flagship SoCs.

Xiaomi first smartphone as part of its deal with beautification app company Meitu is set to launch on July 2, the mobile colossus revealed on Weibo. The company has also revealed a few more details on Weibo, including the fact that it will offer a 32MP selfie camera. Camera samples published on the Chinese platform feature Mi CC 9 branding, giving us the name of the new phone too. Check out a few of the samples below.

Fresh from rolling out the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update to its G9 tablet lineup last week, Archos is releasing the turbo versions of the Archos 80 G9 and Archos 101 G9 tablets, which received a nice bump in the clock speed department and come with ICS straight out of the box. TL;DR Foxconn, the world’s largest contract electronics manufacturer, just bought Belkin and its subsidiary brands for $866 million. The deal makes Foxconn a brand that markets mobile accessories, routers, and smart home products. The purchased brands will stay the same, but who knows if Foxconn’s new ownership will cause conflicts with some of its other clients. Foxconn assembles an estimated 40 percent of the world’s consumer electronics, making it the world’s largest contract electronics manufacturer.
