Hodl (ˈhɒdəl; verb; often written HODL): Slang for holding a cryptocurrency rather than selling it. Can also mean Hold On For Dear Life. We’ve seen a few weird and wonderful phones this year, but the Finney is probably the most bizarre yet. The creation of Israel-based Sirin Labs, the Finney is designed for a very specific group of people: crypto fanatics. Company reps openly admit the Finney probably won’t appeal to mainstream users, but they still see a large addressable market for it.

The Sony Xperia Z Ultra is official. The long rumored device previously known as Togari and Xperia ZU has been formally unveiled at a Sony event at Mobile Expo Asia 2013 in Shanghai. It would probably be fair to say that the Android One program hasn’t quite had the impact that Google was hoping for. Despite offering some rather good hardware at a reasonable price, the low-cost local competition ended up offering better value for money, updates seemed delayed and the second wave of phones never really materialized. According to a recent interview with Rajan Anandan, Google’s managing director for India and Southwest Asia, the initiative is scheduled for some necessarly changes, including the possibility of even cheaper handsets.

Amazon sellers found harassing customers for leaving negative reviews

TL;DR Several Amazon sellers have been pestering customers for negative reviews. They have even offered refunds and bribes to get rid of bad reviews. Sellers aren’t supposed to contact customers outside of Amazon’s platform. Amazon is still notorious for fake reviews and inflated product ratings, and while the company has tried to clean up its system, it’s not really succeeded in its efforts. A new Wall Street Journal report now highlights how leaving genuine reviews on Amazon has resulted in harassment for many customers.

Google now sending you log-in notifications to keep your account secure

With security concerns on mobile devices and computers at an all-time high, Google is implementing a new notification system that will ping you whenever someone logs into your Google Account on a new device or in a web browser. Previously, Google would attempt to detect suspicious logins and send users an email notifying them of the activity.

How much storage do you need for a minute of 8K on Galaxy S20 series?

The Samsung Galaxy S20 series marks the first time we see 8K recording on a major smartphone line (bar the Red Magic 3), offering an exponential increase in detail compared to standard 4K videos. This quality increase will have ramifications for storage though, as Samsung says (via SamMobile) 8K video will consume 600MB of storage per minute. By comparison, 4K/30fps video on a modern phone varies from 200MB to 350MB per minute, depending on a variety of factors (bit-rate, format etc).
