Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet review

The smartphone market is not the only one Sony is hoping to make an impact in, with the company introducing what its vision of a high-end Android tablet is with the Xperia Tablet Z at last year’s MWC. The first iteration was something that was very appreciated, and was deemed one of the best of 2013, and, much like it has done with its smartphone lineup, Sony has further refined its vision and introduced a tablet this year which is even better than its predecessor.

Factory Reset Protection can be easily bypassed on Android N and unpatched stock Marshmallow

Factory Reset Protection (FRP), a protection measure that’s supposed to prevent thieves from using stolen Android devices, is easy to bypass on some Nexus devices running on unpatched versions of stock Marshmallow or even Android N preview. In case you’re not familiar with FRP, here’s how it works: if a device that has a Google account associated to it is reset to factory settings, FRP will ask for the credentials of that Google account before the system loads up.

Google Pixel 2 XL vs Galaxy Note 8 vs LG V30 vs iPhone X

The Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL have a lot to offer. The two devices sport high-end specs, are resistant to water and dust, and come with a stock version of Android 8.0 Oreo. But how exactly do they stack up against the competition? The Pixel series goes head to head with a number of flagship smartphones from companies like Samsung, LG, and Apple. A lot of them have similar terms of specs and features, but there are some notable differences between them that make each handset stand out.

Google+ for G Suite is now Google Currents, featuring a new look

Google terminated the consumer version of Google+ earlier this month. However, the G Suite version for business users was left alone. That is, until today. Today, Google is rolling out Google Currents, which replaces Google+ within the G Suite. Google made the announcement during its annual developer conference geared towards Google Cloud businesses called Cloud Next 2019. Although Google Currents works much the same as Google+ did within the G Suite, it now features a new look (with tons of white space, as you can see in the images above).

I love TV shows but I no longer watch them as they air; do you?

David Imel / Android Authority There was a time, around the early ’10s when I was obsessed with TV series. I followed the news of every show, read reviews and leaks and predictions, and knew which pilots were approved and which ongoing shows were canceled the moment they were announced. I was also following a lot of comedies, procedurals, and dramas every week. New episodes, which spanned many months per season, were part of my weekly routine.

LG G Pad 8.3 release date late this month; priced “very competitively”

At IFA last week, we got to spend some time with LG’s new tablet, the G Pad 8.3, and we have to say that we came out quite impressed. The G Pad 8.3 is solid and well designed, boasts a decent spec sheet, and some of its software features, like Q Pair, really add value for the user. However, in the small tablet space (7 to 8 inches), there’s one aspect that can really make or break a device, and that is the price.
