The Galaxy S21 Ultra, notably, ranks amongst the best Android phones you can buy right now. It offers an attractive 120Hz display, good battery life, a versatile camera system, and a fast processor. On the downside, it was pretty expensive.

Today in Las Vegas, Nvidia lifted the veil on the latest generation of its Tegra line of systems on a chip. Previously codenamed Wayne (as in Bruce Wayne, the superhero), the new Tegra 4 SoC brings a bevy of improvements over its predecessor, and is according to its maker, the “world’s fastest mobile processor”. Chip geeks will have time to analyze this claim once the first benchmarks are out, but till then let’s focus on the new features that Tegra 4 brings to the mobile SoC table.

The root access provides more control over players and TVs, including the option to block updates. It also highlights security issues for earlier Roku software, though Roku claims the vulnerabilities have been mitigated. Update: May 20, 2021 at 8:59 AM ET: Roku has clarified that the two vulnerabilities in question did not expose any customer data and do not contain any malicious activity.

TL;DR The Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus appear set to receive an update with Super Slow Motion video and AR Emoji. Until recently, both features were exclusive to the Samsung Galaxy S9 and Samsung Galaxy Note 9. This comes soon after some Samsung Galaxy Note 8 users also reported receiving the update. The most exciting thing about the two features is that they were both originally exclusive to the Samsung Galaxy S9, Galaxy S9 Plus, and, more recently, the Galaxy Note 9.
