Samsung skipped the Galaxy S3 from the Android 4.2 update, leaving the handset on the aging Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, first announced in June 2012. But that will change soon, as promised. Following the Galaxy S4, Samsung has begun pushing out the Android 4.3 update to the Galaxy S3, bringing a slew of improvements and new features to the popular 2012 flagship.

The HTC 10 evo, the international version of the previously announced HTC Bolt, has officially been announced. Rumors about its reveal made the Internet rounds last week, thanks to a invite sent by HTC to a press event earlier today in Taiwan.

Aside from the name, the HTC 10 evo’s hardware specs are nearly identical to the Bolt, which is already available as an exclusive in the US via Sprint.
Japan Display Inc (JDI), one of the world’s top manufacturers of LCD displays, announced today its Innovation Vehicles for 2013, demonstrating new technologies that will make it into consumer products in 2014 and beyond.
The most interesting new prototype from Japan Display is a 7-inch tablet display that shatters current pixel density records. The 1,600 x 2,560 (Wide-QXGA) resolution of the new 7-inch LCD TFT panel translates to an amazing pixel density of 432 ppi.

LG has filed a patent for a smartphone with 16 rear-facing cameras. According to the patent, the camera array could be used to take snaps from many angles. The array could also allow users to replace sections of a photo with sections from another camera angle. A new LG patent spotted by LetsGoDigital (h/t: Ice Universe) shows a smartphone with 16 cameras on the rear. The cameras are arranged in four rows of four, albeit at differing angles, as seen in the main image.

On stage during its India launch event of the OnePlus 7T, OnePlus formally revealed it will launch a mobile payment system called OnePlus Pay at some point in 2020.
The company was very cryptic surrounding details of the new service. Other than the name and the tentative release date of “sometime next year,” the company didn’t divulge any other info.
“And lastly, we have a special announcement to make,” said Szymon Kopec, the head of the Software Product Growth division at OnePlus.
The device is available in two color versions, Urban Gray and Dive Blue, and can be yours for $199.99, with a two-year contract. If you decide to purchase the Samsung Galaxy S4 Active, you should know that it shouldn’t take too long for the device to get into your hands. Simulating an order on the AT&T website revealed that the device is expected to ship on June 18, which is next Tuesday, as you can see in the screenshot below.
Update, May 10, 2019 (8:42AM ET): ZTE has clarified the difference between the Axon 10 Pro and Axon 10 Pro 5G. The company noted that both phones are available with 6GB or 8GB of RAM, and 64GB/128GB/256GB storage options.
The company also told Android Authority that both models sport NFC and wireless charging. So it seems like you’re essentially paying 300 euros extra for 5G support.
