10 years in prison for first person convicted of SIM hijacking

TL;DR 20-year-old college student Joel Ortiz faces 10 years in prison for SIM hijacking crimes. Ortiz was convicted of stealing over $5 million in cryptocurrency from several victims. This will be the first jail time sentencing for a SIM hijacker, setting a harsh precedent for future convictions. In a landmark legal win (via Motherboard), a judge will sentence 20-year-old college student Joel Ortiz to 10 years in prison for his SIM hijacking crimes.

Samsung is expanding its lineup of budget A-series smartphones in India. After launching the Galaxy A10s in India just last month, the company has now launched the Galaxy A20s in the country. Android 5.1 factory images starting to release from Google

Just a few hours ago, Android 5.1 became official, though it had been spotted running on Android One devices earlier this year. The new build includes three main features, multiple-SIM card support (a staple for many Asian devices), device protection, and HD voice calling along with bug fixes and the likes. AT&T ditches Aio brand in favor of Cricket
