Monthly snapshot releases of CyanogenMod 11 are now available for many popular devices, after the CM team kicked off the rollout of the monthly snapshot release CM11 M2. Monthly snapshots are intermediary releases between nightlies and release candidates aimed at users that want early access to new features and bug fixes, but don’t want to live on the bleeding edge of nightly builds. In general, these CyanogenMod builds are stable enough for daily usage, though bugs still make it through, which is why is good to apply some caution before flashing.

Samsung has announced that it has completed qualification on its 8-nanometer (nm) FinFET process technology, 8LPP (Low Power Plus), paving the way for it to start mass producing the node. Good audio and video editing tools are somewhat hard to come by on mobile — a sentiment shared by app developer Xeus. The dev was prompted to create the Timbre: Cut, Join, Convert mp3 app after failing to find a “decent” tool for doing the same in the Play Store. And what Xeus has come up with is certainly an effective tool. Despite the name, Timbre lets you do more than just edit mp3s: you can split and join audio or video, remove sections within a range, and combine files together, as well as remove the sound from your videos or create audio tracks from them.
