Sony Xperia Z5The Sony Xperia Z5 is a great smartphone, but once again is an incremental update from its predecessor - the fingerprint scanner being the biggest new feature. Although the Z5 is a durable device with fast and clean software, you’ll have to ask yourself if it’s worth it’s price tag. Table of contents
With Sony’s mobile future uncertain, the Japanese giant really needs to hit a home run if they want to win over today’s smartphone consumers.
Star Wars: Jedi Challenges, the mobile VR/AR game from Lenovo that lets players become Jedi Knights and battle virtual enemies with a lightsaber, will add a free update in January 2018. It will include content from the latest Star Wars movie, The Last Jedi, which opens in theaters today.
The update will add a way for players to fight against two Praetorian Guards, the red armored First Order soldiers, from The Last Jedi.

The Withings ScanWatch has received FDA clearance for atrial fibrillation detection through ECG. The FDA also granted clearance to the device for measuring users’ SpO2 levels. Shoppers will be able to grab a ScanWatch as soon as early November for $279. The Withings ScanWatch is now the first wearable to earn FDA clearance for atrial fibrillation detection and SpO2 measurement from the wrist. This feat makes it the most medically advanced hybrid smartwatch on the market.
A 200-inch TV might be a nice idea, but it would cost you your life savings and be immovable. The Yaber Y60 Projector can offer that same huge screen size but with added portability, and it’s currently on sale for just over $100.
The Yaber Y60 Projector projects a range of screen sizes up to 200 inches, and supports resolutions up to 1080p. It’s technically a 720p HD projector, but supporting a widescreen 16:9 aspect ratio for your movies represents a native resolution of 1080×720.
In hopes of differentiating their products from the competition, a lot of manufacturers equip their phones with features that are, or at least look to be, a bit gimmicky at first glance. The most recent one is the HTC U11‘s Edge Sense, which basically allows you to open any app of your choice by just squeezing the device. Although it sounds a bit weird, it actually works a lot better than expected.
We’ve already had our first supposed look at the Moto Z4 Play last month, showing a phone with Moto Mod support and much more. Now, a new leak may have given us a glimpse of the phone’s spec sheet.
According to 91Mobiles, citing a “reliable source,” the Moto Z4 Play will offer the SM6150 chipset (said to be the Snapdragon 675), 4GB to 6GB of RAM, and 64GB to 128GB of storage.
The popular iOS game Ant Raid has just been released on Google Play. As part of the launch the developers are offering a discount for early buyers: you can pick up the game for just 99c!
Ant Raid is a strategy game which pits you against invading mutant insects. You must defend your colony from these various threats by directing your ant minions into battle. There’s a little story to go along with the main game, accompanied by some wonderful 3D graphics and a very unique art style, which helps keep you glued to your screen in between sending waves of ants to their deaths.
If you caught all the exciting Android Wear 2.0 news yesterday but don’t already own a smartwatch on the Wear 2.0 update list (and aren’t feeling inclined to drop several hundred on a new watch just to experience it), you’re in luck. For just $123 you can now pick up the Fossil Q Founder smartwatch which is on the Wear 2.0 update list.
The Fossil Q Founder isn’t a brand new smartwatch with fancy LTE and GPS like the LG Watch Sport, but it is a very good looking wearable with the standard specs sheet: 4 GB of storage, 512 MB of RAM, 1.

Here at Android Authority, we tend to put a lot of focus on the high-profile releases of the year. Invariably, most of these tend to be premium devices — the best on offer at any moment. However, just because something is objectively “the best,” it doesn’t always mean it’s the most utilitarian. A Galaxy Note 20 Ultra might be one of the best phones you can buy, but that doesn’t mean it’s the best phone for your pre-teen child.

Renders of the Garmin Venu 2 Plus smartwatch have leaked online. The watch will apparently have a 43mm size and offer three side buttons. We quite liked the Garmin Venu and Venu 2 smartwatches, delivering accurate fitness tracking and sharp OLED screens. Garmin is undoubtedly hard at work on more watches though, and it looks like we’ve got an early look at one of these wearables.
