168Hz, ray tracing, 200MP support

David Imel / Android Authority TL;DR MediaTek has launched the Dimensity 1200 and 1100 processors. The Dimensity 1200 is the flagship-level chipset while the Dimensity 1100 is a step below. The chips still sport the same GPU as last year’s Dimensity 1000 series. MediaTek launched its first flagship chip in a couple of years when it revealed the Dimensity 1000 series at the end of 2019. The chip and its Dimensity 1000 Plus variant didn’t quite challenge the Snapdragon 865 in terms of sheer horsepower, but it still brought plenty of power and features to the table.

Google Photos hits v2.0 with new permanent album sorting

Google Photos has been updated to version 2.0 in the past 24 hours, but don’t get too excited, there hasn’t been a complete overhaul of the popular photo storage app. However, Google has introduced a couple of handy new features, including permanent album contents sorting, and a couple of tweaks to the user interface. The new permanent sorting of album contents is the big new feature, so we’ll start with that. Essentially it does what the name suggests, Photo users can now sort the pictures in their albums by oldest first, newest first, or recently added, and these ordering changes will be saved for when you next pop in to look at the album, regardless of which device you log in from.

HTC 10 Sense UI - Feature focus

One of the biggest and longest running problems with OEM skins is how heavy and bloated they feel, and while Samsung and LG have made pretty good strides with regards to streamlining their respective software experiences, no one has done a better job with that than HTC. HTC’s Sense UI has always been one of the favorites when it comes to custom OEM interfaces, and while early versions of the Sense UI did have its problems, HTC has made some noticeable improvements over the years, leading to the best version of the Sense UI yet, as seen with the HTC 10.
