Galaxy S4 delayed due to Exynos 5 Octa issues, Qualcomm chips in the picture second report says

The Galaxy S2, S3, and Note 2 all use various versions of the Exynos 4 chip. At the time, we wondered if it’s possible for Samsung to completely take Exynos chips out of the equation – after all the company has other powerful SoCs in the Exynos in addition to the newly launched Exynos 5 Octa – and rely solely on new Qualcomm processors. We don’t have a definitive answer to that question yet, but we do have a secondary report today that seems to confirm the former.

Google polishes app search results with a new UI

If you have been looking for an app using Google’s mobile search lately then you may have spotted a new, colourful results layout, showcasing the most relevant apps from the Play Store. As well as looking nice, the update is also pretty handy if you’re looking for a specific type of app. The results display some useful app information, including the number of downloads the app has and its rating in the Play Store.

Legends is now out for Android

Update (6/1): It took a little longer than first predicted, but Bethesda Softworks has finally released the Android version of The Elder Scrolls: Legends worldwide. The free-to-play game is now available from the Google Play Store. Keep in mind that while the game is free to download and play, it does have in-game purchase options. Original post (3/9): The Elder Scrolls: Legends has been available in beta for PC since last year. After several months of testing, feedback and patching, Bethesda is finally announcing the full release of the game, which is available as of today.

Razer to integrate Leap Motion hand tracking into is OSVR

Virtual reality has been in the spot light a lot in the past twelve months, with HTC entering the market with Valve, Samsung partnering up with the Facebook owned Oculus, and Razer announcing its OSVR headset too. Razer recently unveiled a load of gaming related goodies and has now entered into a partnership with Leap Motion, who will be providing built in motion sensors for the OSVR headset. The key to great VR is said to be in the little immersive details.

You know Rovio made 51 games before Angry Birds, with varying degrees of success, but since they hit on the magic formula with our fine feathered friends, new releases have been few and far between. The latest game to come from the Finnish developer doesn’t stray too far from that smash hit formula. The baddies from Angry Birds, those pesky egg-stealing pigs, are back and this time they are the heroes, sort of.

Samsung Galaxy S3 now available on Virgin Mobile, costs $399.99

A few weeks ago, we reported that the Samsung Galaxy S3 would be arriving on two of Sprint’s two subsidiary networks, Boost Mobile and Virgin Mobile, within the next month. Now, the LTE-equipped Samsung Galaxy S3 is available on Virgin Mobile. The device will run you $399.99 outright, or you can use PayPal’s Bill Me Later service to pay that amount at a later date, though, if the amount isn’t paid within six months, you’ll be charged interest starting from the purchase date.
