Update: Developer Justin Tipton of JRT Studios reached out over the weekend to let us know that Rocket Player has been reinstated. Here’s his statement:
I’m excited to let you know that Rocket Player is back in the Google Play store! Our eleven-day hiatus from Google Play store is over. Our customers have been very understanding and have really powered us through this rough patch. We can’t wait to get back to business as usual and continue our quest to make the best music player we can.

The latest version of the iOS Google Assistant app now creates Siri Shortcuts for you. Using this new feature, you can use the “OK Google” hotword on the iPhone — but you have to say “Hey Siri” first. You can also set up other custom Google Assistant routines. Android users have been able to use the “OK Google” hotword to launch Google Assistant for a while now. However, iPhone users have had to open up the Google Assistant app manually and then issue voice commands to get things done.

Personal media streaming app Kodi saw its latest alpha release, codenamed “Leia.” Kodi apps connected to Android TV systems will have Google Assistant baked in. Using Assistant, you can make voice commands to Kodi as well as receive suggested content based on your library. With Google Assistant baked in, watching media on your Android TV will be a snap. Using the familiar “OK Google” or “Hey Google” commands, you can tell Kodi what you want to watch and it will play it for you.

LG is reportedly selling off its unreleased smartphones to its Korea-based employees. Per a leak, the devices on offer include the LG Rainbow/Velvet 2 Pro and the LG Rollable. Employees can reportedly have the Velvet 2 Pro for around $170. Before it announced its retirement from the mobile space, LG was still working on a few devices. One of which was the LG Rainbow, or referred to as the LG Velvet 2 Pro.
Today, most modern Android devices are kitted out with a bunch of sensors.
You can use this information in lots of different ways – whether it’s monitoring light levels so your application can automatically adjust its brightness or color scheme; allowing the user to interact with your mobile game using gestures such as tilting their device; or using the proximity sensor to automatically disable touch events whenever the user holds their device to their ear.

The Parler website is live once again after it was shut down last week for hosting violent content. The CEO of the social media platform has promised to welcome back all users soon. The website’s domain is now registered with Epik, a firm that’s also a domain registrar for other far-right sites. Social media platform Parler was completely booted out of existence last week when Google and Apple removed it from their respective app stores and AWS shut down its web servers.

The Samsung Galaxy A53 is expected to launch any time now. The phone’s design and specs have leaked multiple times over and now, so have the wallpapers it’s going to carry.
XDA Developers has managed to get a hold of stock wallpapers from the Galaxy A53 before its release.
The Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL won’t launch until tomorrow, and yet T-Mobile has pretty much publicly confirmed that it will carry the devices. T-Mobile CEO John Legere showed off an interesting dish he was preparing on social media while accompanied by a couple of Pixel 4s.
Legere posted a picture of the devices on Instagram and live-streamed them on Facebook. Of course, the posts weren’t exclusively about the Pixel 4s, but the “subtle” inclusion of the retail boxes as props was no accident.
From the title of this article, one might assume that I’m being sarcastic or simply having a go at an artist so popular that her dental floss would probably sell for a few grand via a hard fought auction on eBay. But I can assure you I’m not. What I am about to say can be perceived in many ways, but I for one am very serious when I announce this: Taylor Swift has a new music video that just hit the web.
The edge is no longer an experiment, and with Samsung’s new and improved build quality, revitalized software, and hardware changes (for better or worse), it is very clear that Samsung is carving out a new path for itself. The Galaxy S6 Edge is the beautiful result of Samsung’s newfound identity. Over the last few years, Samsung has been heavily criticized for their build quality and heavy use of plastic, with consumers eagerly awaiting a design overhaul with every flagship release.
