If you simply cannot wait for Huawei to release the official Android 7.0 Nougat update for its Mate 8 smartphone, there’s a rather complicated way to get Google’s latest OS on that device right now. Someone has found and leaked the Nougat update on the phone and posted it on theXDA Developers forums. The concept is still in its early stages and faces several obstacles. The Seamless Air Alliance, a new initiative announced during MWC 2018, hopes to change that and deliver broadband-level connections in the sky.

Chinese app stores are, put mildly, a mess. Even the reputable ones, like Huawei’s AppGallery, are full of shoddy apps, clones, and copyright-infringing content. Call of Duty: Siege soft-launched in October 2016 but was canceled before release, so there’s no guarantee this game will get a global launch. So far, it seems the game is only live in Australia and the Philippines.
