Galaxy Note 20 in Copper or Mint Green? Yes, please

The alleged Galaxy Note 20 Plus (or Ultra) render TL;DR Samsung Galaxy Note 20 series to come in five colorways. The name and colorways of the new Galaxy Z Flip have also been confirmed. The colors for the new true wireless Galaxy Buds will reportedly match those of the Note 20 phones. All these are expected to show up either at Samsung’s rumored summer Unpacked event, or the days leading up to it.

Galaxy Note 8 expected to launch in Canada on April 19, costs $430

According to Mobile Syrup, Samsung’s Galaxy Note 8 could be headed to Canada very soon, as a Best Buy Canada’s listing says that the tablet is “scheduled to arrive in our warehouse on 04/19/2013.” The Galaxy Note 8.0 supports a 1280 × 800 189ppi 8-inch display, a 1.6GHz quad-core Exynos processor, 2GB of RAM, a 5MP rear-facing camera, a 1.3MP front-facing camera and a 4,600 milliamp battery. Software wise, the Galaxy Note 8 is running TouchWiz atop of Android 4.

NVIDIA Shield TV update adds Nest Cam streaming, more app support, more

NVIDIA closes out the month of January by rolling out the 6.3 Experience Update for its Android TV-based Shield TV set-top box. This is a rather major update as it adds some new app support, along with the usual security patches and firmware improvements. NVIDIA’s support page for the Shield TV shows that the 6.3 update adds support for viewing footage from Nest Cam cameras on your TV. If you own a Nest Cam in your home, you can now use the Shield TV’s support for Google Assistant to simply say, “Show me the front door camera” to begin viewing the live footage from your Nest Cam location.

OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren Edition price leaks, could reach new highs

We’ve already seen leaked renders of the device, and now teen tipster Ishan Agarwal has revealed a purported price tag of €849 to €859 (~$932 to ~$943). The leaker says this is for a 12GB/256GB model. If confirmed, this would make the OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren Edition the most expensive OnePlus phone yet. By comparison, the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition retailed for €699 (~$767). That particular model served up 10GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, offering 2GB more RAM than the OnePlus 6T.

Redmi Note 9 Pro, Pro Max launched: Price and availability (Update)

Update, May 11, 2020 (3:50AM ET): Xiaomi is finally making the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max available in India after first launching it back in March. The Max model was supposed to go on sale starting March 25. However, Xiaomi had to delay it owing to the coronavirus lockdown in India. You can now grab the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max starting May 12 at 12PM IST from Xiaomi’s India website.

Samsung Access gives you a new phone, extra perks for one monthly fee

Apple was one of the first manufacturers to offer a subscription service for phone upgrades, allowing users to get the latest iPhone for one flat monthly fee.  The Samsung Access initiative includes a number of perks aside from being able to upgrade your phone. These perks include Premium Care protection and support, and Microsoft 365 Personal (including 1TB of OneDrive storage and premium Office apps). There are a few caveats though, as you need to return your current device before upgrading.

But what about legacy support, can we expect all future flagships to ditch microSD and move straight to UFS? Thanks to Samsung, you might be able to have your cake, and eat it too. While UFS cards are not compatible with the current microSD card socket, the good news is that Samsung and several partners have developed a new socket design that will be able to accept both UFS and microSD cards, meaning that you’ll be able to use both standards interchangeably if you so wish.
