We are officially in March, which means it’s time for Google to reveal the latest Android security patch for its line of Pixel devices. Right on schedule, the search giant is rolling out the patch now to Google Pixel smartphones and the Google Pixel C tablet.
The March 2019 Android security patch resolves many security vulnerabilities. While none of the bugs had been used to harm users, below is the most severe problem that is getting patched.
Nokia has been very clear about its aspirations to return to the mobile market as soon as their non-compete deal with Microsoft ends. They won’t exactly be making smartphones on their own, as they sold their mobile division to the Redmond-based giant. Instead, they seek to license the Nokia brand, which still holds some power. Nokia was, after all, the #1 phone maker in the world once; many of us still hold memories of our first cellular phone coming from this manufacturer.

The rumored OnePlus 10R could actually be called the OnePlus Ace. A company executive was spotted posting from the phone on Chinese social media platform Weibo. The “Ace” moniker comes from an Oppo smartphone series with the same name. Update: April 12, 2022 (1:41 AM ET): Tipster Mukul Sharma has found more evidence suggesting that the OnePlus Ace is indeed coming and will launch in India sometime in the future.
Remember the uproar last year when it was discovered that the the Galaxy S6 was shipping with two different camera sensors? Some shipped with a Sony sensor – which turned out to be the slightly superior option – and others shipped with Samsung’s ISOCELL sensor. Well, Samsung is at it again, with both the Sony IMX260 and Samsung’s own ISOCELL sensors being used in the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge cameras.

Some Android users can now receive Duo video calls without the app installed thanks to App Preview Messaging. App Preview Messaging allows messenger apps to display preview versions, which users can use to communicate. Allo has been using App Preview Messaging since it launched in 2016. Google has experimented with allowing apps to be used even when they aren’t installed. The most popular example of this is Instant Apps—a web-based solution that loads apps as you access different parts of them.

We’ve all had that momentary panic from misplacing something important, and it only gets worse over the holiday season. If you’re rushing to get over the river or through the woods, the last thing you need to do is spend time looking for your wallet or keys. Luckily, Tile’s ingenious little trackers take the guesswork out of your search.
Perfectly portable sizes You could always attach a balloon or something to your keys to keep track of them, but that’s hardly convenient.

Over the weekend Google updated its Calendar app to version 201308023, listing the only change as “bug fixes and performance improvements”. While most of the update’s changes do seem to be pretty small, there at least one useful change that has arrived with the app that for whatever reason was not highlighted by Google in the change-log: the ability to reply to Calendar events from Gmail.
In the past, the only way to respond to event invites was to be pushed over to the Calendar app.
Google Play is not exactly the most efficient mobile app store for monetizing apps, and there have been many reasons for that. Google has addressed many of them over the past 2 years like: implementing better ranking of apps, making it easier for users to discover new apps, adding more countries that support paid apps, adding in-app billing, and so on. But they still need to work on making it easier for developers to make money.
