“Tentative” release dates for the AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon Galaxy S4 versions have been spotted in what’s said to be a leaked Staples memo.
According to the document received by Phone Arena, AT&T could launch the Galaxy S4 on April 26, followed by T-Mobile on May 1 and Verzion on May 30.
Like with the previous leak, we can’t say at this time whether this is a real document or a fabricated one, so we’ll hang on to our grain of salt until Staples properly announces its Galaxy S4 sales.
Think today’s quad and octa-core mobile devices are impressive? You haven’t seen anything yet. Speaking at a talk at Semicon West, H.S. Philip Wong, Stanford University’s Professor of Electrical Engineering, talked a bit about the future of computing power, focusing on a theoretical 3D chip stack that interleaves next-gen memory and logic technologies using carbon nanotubes.
The theoretical chip stack could eventually result in a computing system as powerful as the IBM Watson super computer
Flash memory is a massive market in the mobile industry, a $60 billion market to be precise. It’s used in virtually every handheld electronic device, from cameras to tablets, but yesterday Crossbar announced its new type of memory chip which could replace the traditional flash memory that we’re all so familiar with.
Crossbar’s new technology is known as Resistive RAM (RRAM), which offers substantial storage and speed improvements over existing flash memory.
Whenever a new system update is released, Google makes the factory images for Nexus devices available on its developer website. While these updates can be downloaded right away, the problem is you need to have an unlocked bootloader to flash them. And if you can’t seem to track down the OTA (.zip file) for that particular update, you’re stuck waiting until the over-the-air update rolls out to your device, which could be days after the initial release.

In response to a bug reported on Twitter, Google has disabled Google Photos integration on Android TV. The bug showed users a long list of connected Google accounts, complete with profile pictures. Fortunately, the private photos of these users were not available, but it’s still pretty scary. One of the perks of owning a device running Android TV is how easily you can integrate Google services into it.
Even though Barnes & Noble’s Nook Tablet has been clearly overshadowed by Amazon’s Kindle Fire, the basic Nook e-readers are still on top of the shopping and wish lists of many users. However, the e-ink gadget was clearly in need of a refresh, as the Nook Simple Touch, the second generation of e-book readers from Barnes & Noble, was released almost a year ago. Fortunately, we don’t have to wait much more for a new and improved Nook Simple Touch, as the latest model has just gone up for pre-order, with shipments set to start on May 1.

Samsung has announced a new version of its Galaxy S5 smartphone, the Galaxy S5 4G+. As the name suggests, the handset is designed to offer faster 4G/LTE data speeds than the standard model.
Hardware wise, the Galaxy S5 4G+ shares the same display, RAM, memory, and aesthetics as the regular flagship. The only difference is that the Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 has been swapped out for the Snapdragon 805. The main reason for this is that the Snapdragon 805 allows for faster peak data speeds of 225Mbps, compared with 150Mbps for the standard S5.

Sprint reportedly provided its employees with talking points they can use with customers. Employees use the talking points when customers ask them about the merger with T-Mobile. T-Mobile and Sprint officially announced plans to merge their operations.
