Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus could soon get Note 9’s dockless DeX feature

Sonos launches a new free radio streaming service

Speaker company Sonos just made a surprise announcement. As of today, it offers a free ad-supported streaming service called Sonos Radio. The service is accessible within the Sonos app, and existing Sonos device owners will see the service land as part of today’s software update. Sonos Radio is not a complete streaming replacement, though. Customers can still use their existing streaming services on their Sonos speakers like Apple Music, Pandora, and Spotify.

Don't expect Snapdragon power for the Redmi Note 8 series

Update, August 26, 2019 (3:19AM ET): Xiaomi and MediaTek previously announced that the Helio G90T chipset will appear in the Redmi Note 8 series. Now, Xiaomi has taken to Weibo to reveal that the standard Redmi Note 8 model will offer the Snapdragon 665 processor. This suggests that the Redmi Note 8 Pro will receive the Helio G90T then. The Snapdragon 665 is an incremental upgrade over the Snapdragon 660 used in the Redmi Note 7.

Google Play update brings in-app purchases indicator, improved social integration

Google is rolling out a new version of its Play Store app that brings many social integration features and design tweaks. One interesting new feature is the in-app purchases indicator that warns you that the app you are visualizing uses IAPs for monetization. Having advanced warning about IAPs should come handy to parents looking for safe apps for their kids or users that simply dislike freemium apps. Google made some changes to the design of the application to make it easier to review and star applications.
