Google in Best Buy? A notable source relays an interesting rumor

Yesterday afternoon, Robert Scoble posted something to his Google+ account that got a lot of people talking. While noting the information he was relaying was simply a rumor, he mentioned that Best Buy was renting out 6,000 sq. ft. of space per store to Google. The purpose, according to Scoble’s source, is for Glass. The validity of this claim is clearly in question, but Scoble makes no overtures about it being truthful or even possible.

Did you know new malware is especially created to bypass traditional anti-virus? You never expect to get hit with malware, but it is an increasingly prevalent occurrence. If you do become a victim then the consequences can be devastating. Ransomware is probably the most notorious example. Once your device is infected, your files are encrypted by the attacker. Poll: Do you use Bluetooth headphones or do you live the #donglelife?

Most of today’s popular smartphones don’t have a headphone jack. It’s annoying, but it’s the world we live in now. Initially, this was a bigger deal; such a courageous decision was bound to shock the tech community, as we all relied on wired headphones for our listening needs. As time passed, though, many of the people who originally complained about the shift either bit the bullet and purchased a pair of Bluetooth headphones or resorted to using the wired dongle.

Then there are islands looking to have the world’s first “5G network.” But now we are seeing a new trend.
