Here's a list of games already using Google's new games services

Mountain View yesterday at Google I/O announced something very exciting: Google Play Games services. At the time of this writing, the new Play Games features have only been integrated in a small handful of games, but we should see more integration as time goes on. There’s only a few games that have implemented the new features, including popular titles like World of Goo, Triple Town, Plague Inc., Modern Combat 4: Zero Hour, and Beach Buggy Blitz.

Instagram For Android To Be Launched 'Very Soon'

Instagram, the insanely popular photo filtering & sharing app designated by Apple as the “iOS App of the year 2011” will soon also be available on Android smartphones, according to an announcement made at South by Southwest on Sunday by Instagram Co-Founder Kevin Systrom.According to Systrom: “In some ways, it’s better than our iOS app. It’s crazy”. I honestly believe (and hope) that there won’t be any big differences between the iOS and the Android versions of the app, but I guess we’ll have to wait for Instagram to be released on Android to know for sure.

Korean Galaxy Note and Galaxy S2 HD Android 4.0 updates now available

Although they are currently two of the most popular and powerful Android-based smartphones, Samsung’s Galaxy Note and Galaxy S2 HD are yet to get a taste of Ice Cream Sandwich in many countries all over the world. Sammy has been making huge efforts to bring Android 4.0 updates in a timely fashion in the most important markets worldwide for the two devices, but until now they’ve completely neglected their homeland, South Korea.

New Firefox for Android claimed to be twice as fast as stock browser

Last week, Mozilla has teased us with a tweet that promised “something BIG” as coming this week for Firefox on Android. Some have expected a tablet optimized version of the mobile browser, but that proved to be just speculation. That big thing coming is actually an update to Mozilla’s Firefox for Android mobile browser. According to the developers, the new Firefox brings a “screaming fast and personalized upgrade to mobile browsing that lets you take your Web experience everywhere you go”.

Starting in mid-March, non-paying users will only be able to use the service on one of two platform categories, namely PC or mobile. That means you won’t be able to use the service on both your laptop and your phone. You’ll need to pick one or the other. Obviously, people who fork out the cash for the premium version of the service won’t have this limitation.

Samsung Gear 3 said to introduce a curved display

Samsung readying KNOX security for the Galaxy S4 in Europe

SamMobile insiders have discovered that the Samsung is currently preparing the Galaxy S4 GT-I9505, that’s the more common Snapdragon 600 version found in Europe and a few other regions, for KNOX support. KNOX is Samsung’s proprietary security suite, which offers a range of features from Security Enhanced Android, secure booting, and an application container, among other similar features. Samsung originally announced KNOX at MWC earlier this year, and the comprehensive enterprise mobile solution was supposed to be included with the Galaxy S4 at launch, but was delayed whilst the company continued to test various features.

WhatsApp getting in-app YouTube playback and voice record lock

WhatsApp my be the most popular messaging platform around but it’s by no means faultless. The Facebook team are constantly updating it with new fixes and features, the latest of which are set to be particularly handy. WhatsApp v2.17.81 for iOS is now rolling out and with it comes in-app YouTube playback and a voice record lock. In previous versions of the app, if you were sent a YouTube link, users would be directed to YouTube — via the dedicated app or a web browser — to watch the video.
