ZTE ZMAX 2 coming to AT&T and TracFone for only $149.99

Looking for a phone with a large screen? There’s plenty of options out there, but ZTE has proven to be one of the best manufacturers when it comes to offering both great value and hefty display sizes. Their ZMAX was a total hit at under $250, and now the manufacturer aims to take on the USA market with the new ZTE ZMAX 2. Looking at the handset’s exterior we can find a design that is similar to the previous iteration, but does include some very nice aesthetic improvements.

Amazon (AMZN) admits the Fire phone's pricing was a major mistake

Last week Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN) shocked investors with a massive loss. Jeff Bezos’ company ended Q3 2014 with $544 million in the red, a bad loss even for a company that has longed delivered minimal quarterly increases in profits or even small losses. While Amazon had some other big-ticket investments to explain the half a billion loss (including the acquisition of streaming platform Twitch), market watchers agreed that the bulk of it was owed to the Fire phone.

Budget-friendly LG K7 now available on T-Mobile

First announced at CES 2016, the LG K7 is now available on T-Mobile’s network. It has a 5.0-inch 480 x 854 FWVGA display, a 1.1 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 processor with 1.5GB of RAM, as well as 8GB of on-board storage and microSD expansion up to 32GB.

Buy an on-contract Sprint phone now and get $100 off on an LTE tablet

While the special deals and discounts on apps and games don’t seem to lose traction even with Christmas officially over, the price cuts on Android devices have been rather slim and stingy this holiday season. But the holiday season is not completely over yet, so we’re glad to see Sprint holding a very original and lucrative sale. The number three carrier in the States is taking $100 off any 4G LTE enabled tablet for all new customers who choose to buy an on-contract smartphone until January 10.

Chromecast vs Amazon Fire TV

It’s safe to say that the Google Chromecast has had a huge impact on the way you can stream media to your TV. For as low as $30, you now have the ability to easily cast your content to the larger screen, and control it entirely from you mobile device. Amazon, in an attempt to replicate Google’s success in this area, has now jumped into the media streaming arena, albeit with a slightly different approach, with its Fire TV set top box.

Instagram gets a redesigned app and colorful icon on Android and iOS

https://vimeo.com/166138104 Instagram has just announced a complete visual overhaul of its Android and iOS applications. Not only is the photo sharing app getting a redesigned layout, it’s also finally getting a newer, simpler app icon. The differences between the old and new app icons are pretty stark. You can still tell its a camera, but the new icon is much simpler and more colorful than the old one. Instagram’s other apps — Layout, Boomerang and Hyperlapse — are also getting redesigned icons with the same style.
