Sony is the leading manufacturer of camera sensors for mobile applications – its Exmor sensors can be found in virtually every major device, ensuring a steady flow of cash for the company, a part of which is re-invested into R&D. The latest camera sensor from Sony looks to further solidify its lead in the sector.

Udacity to reimburse all Nanodegree students half of their tuition upon graduation

Online university Udacity has just announced a new plan to make it more affordable for enrolled students to finish their programs. Starting Wednesday, July 8th, Udacity will extend its ‘half-back’ tuition refund program to all upcoming Nanodegree students. This means that every student enrolled in these programs will now get 50 percent of their tuition cost back, provided they complete their program within 12 months of enrollment. The ‘half-back’ promotion was first introduced in May as an experiment, and thanks to overwhelming student response, the online university is extending the promotion to the rest of the Nanodegree program participants.

Verizon is sure having a busy month of new releases. Set to join the ranks of other notable offerings like the Samsung Galaxy S3 and HTC Droid Incredible 4G LTE is LG’s own VS930. The proof is in the freshly leaked pictures of the phone, which have been spotted by Engadget. The LG VS930 will most likely take the torch from LG Spectrum (VS920) and continue LG’s run in the increasingly competitive smartphone race.

Cybersecurity firm Chronicle graduates from the X division and joins Alphabet

TL;DR Cybersecurity firm Chronicle announced it is a new business under the umbrella of Alphabet. Chronicle was founded in 2016 in the semi-secretive X division. The company looks to offer its cybersecurity platform and VirusTotal malware intelligence system to other companies. It took almost two years, but cybersecurity firm Chronicle finally “graduated” from Alphabet‘s somewhat secretive X division and made it to the big leagues. For those not familiar with Chronicle, the company was founded in February 2016.
