Verizon's 4G LTE network to cover 2/3 of US population after expansion

While Sprint is still ironing out the final kinks in its new 4G LTE network, Verizon Wireless is preparing yet another important expansion of its LTE service, making it that much difficult for anyone to threaten its leadership in the mobile carrier market. No less than 27 new markets will be covered starting today, while Big Red’s 4G LTE network will also be expanded in 47 existing markets. As you might expect, they don’t produce just any ordinary device, however, as the Cat B15 is built to take more than a punch or two and yet keep on kicking. To further demonstrate this level of toughness, Caterpillar has a new “Built for It” video in which they drop the device from a height of 30 feet into a pool of water.

Nguyen has three new games in the works, may bring back Flappy Bird

Just a month ago, Dong Nguyen took down the massively popular game Flappy Bird from Google Play and the Apple AppStore, reportedly due to all the unwanted attention and the overall addictive nature of the game. Since that time, we’ve seen more clones pop up than we can count, yet no return of the original. So we have to wonder: will everyone’s favorite bird to hate ever flap again? The answer is maybe.

NSA planned to use the Play Store to implant spyware on target smartphones

It’s no (longer a) secret that the NSA has planted its feelers deep into the very foundation of the Internet. Allegedly, the US spy agency has even obtained access to Google’s data centers, though it’s not clear whether this happened with Google’s cooperation. When it can’t legally force its way onto private systems, the NSA does its best to sneak in – case in point, a pilot program called Irritant Horn, that saw the NSA and its allies attempt to hijack the connection between a target smartphone and the Play Store (then called Android Market).
