Samsung has announced that it will be hosting another contest for budding app developers. Samsung will show its first Android Wear device at Google I/O next week, says a new report.
According to CNET, which cites people familiar with the matter, Samsung will be the third Android Wear partner to introduce a smartwatch powered by Google’s wearable-centric operating system. Samsung’s device will be similar to its Gear smartwatches, which are running Tizen, according to the sources.
Samsung is said to be developing at least two versions of its Android Wear smartwatch, one powered by an in-house Exynos chip and one with a Qualcomm chip, but it’s not clear which version will be shown at I/O.
