Get it from Amazon for $99

If there’s one good thing to come out of  today’s launch of the iPhone 5  is that it seems to have triggered Amazon to majorly slash the price of the Samsung Galaxy S3. This time, the retailer is discounting more variants of the phone, and not just Verizon’s version. A couple of days ago, both the Pebble Blue and Marble White Galaxy S3 were offered on Amazon Wireless for a mere $139.

Google still wants to work with Huawei, has applied for license

Arguably the biggest issue with the US trade ban against Huawei is that the firm can’t use Google Mobile Services (GMS) on its new phones and tablets. This has forced the Chinese brand to create its own Huawei Mobile Services (HMS) as an alternative to Google’s services. Now, Android and Google Play vice-president Sameer Samat has told DPA (via Finanzen) that Google has applied to the US government to resume business dealings with Huawei.

How to use the One-handed Operation mode on the Note 3 – Feature Focus

Some say that smaller phones are better because you can use them with just one hand. For everybody else though, having a large screen for consuming media, browsing the web, and being productive is totally worth the occasional feat of finger acrobatics. At 5.7-inch, the Galaxy Note 3 is clearly a device that’s meant for two-hand usage, and while that’s not bad in itself, there are times when you have to operate it with just one.
