Verizon's Motorola X-Phone XT1060 Passes Through FCC

The XT1060 version sports CDMA frequencies, LTE Band 4, Band 13 and GSM capabilities. We know that the XT1060 is the Verizon Wireless variant because radio frequencies 850 MHz and  1900 MHz just happen to be used by Verizon Wireless for CDMA capabilities, LTE Band 13 is be used by Verizon, and they have future plans for Band 4.

Viacom reveals some channels coming to T-Mobile's streaming service

TL;DR Media company Viacom announced a new partnership with T-Mobile. Viacom announced that its TV channels — including MTV, BET, Nickelodeon, and more — will come to T-Mobile’s streaming service. The streaming service was supposed to launch last year, but it looks like it’s coming this year instead. Viacom-owned channels that will hit the service include MTV, BET, Nickelodeon, Comedy Central, and most sub-channels of those brands (MTV2, TeenNick, etc.

Gionee M2017 officially revealed in China with its huge dual battery

While most of us were still recovering from our holiday dinner and activities, Gionee in China was launching a new smartphone earlier this morning. The Gionee M2017, which was leaked earlier in November, is now official, and its biggest feature is its huge battery. The Gionee M2017 actually has two 3,500mAh batteries inside, giving the smartphone a total battery size of 7,000mAh. Gionee claims this will give the phone up to nearly 26 hours of continuous video playback.

Google Pixel 4's Continued Conversations for Assistant coming to more phones

Continued Conversations allow users to chat with the Google Assistant seamlessly, without having to repeat the “Ok, Google” or “Hey, Google” wake commands for each reply. A tipster shared screenshots of the Continued Conversations feature on an unnamed smartphone with Android Police. The toggle to turn-on Continued Conversations on a phone was spotted by the tipster in the Google Assistant settings. Even though the tipster turned the mode on for his phone, the Assistant stopped listening to him after the first voice command.

HTC One V to come to several US carriers in summer

MetroPCS investors oppose merger with T-Mobile

Think the MetroPCS merger with T-Mobile is a done deal? Think again. Investment groups with an interest in MetroPCS are becoming increasingly vocal about their opposition to the deal. Their position is that a merger would saddle the new company with too much debt. Essentially, it’s a “reverse” merger, in which shareholders of a private company purchase stock in a newly formed shell company. This new company would be 74% owned by T-Mobile parent company Deutsche Telekom.
