If you told me one of my favorite announcements from CES was going to be a pair of mixed reality glasses, I would’ve called you crazy. Maybe I’m the crazy one because I spent some time with Nreal’s upcoming Light mixed reality glasses and I’m very much on board.
Nreal first announced the Light glasses at CES 2019 but didn’t plan to ship them to consumers until 2020. They’re supposed to arrive soon, but we don’t have anything other than an “early 2020” estimate from the company.

The April 2021 Sony PlayStation 5 update lands on Wednesday, April 14, 2021. The update’s most notable new feature is the ability to store PS5 games on an external drive. Cross-generation Share Play is also coming with the new update. Today, Sony announced the launch date of the first major software update to its latest console, the PlayStation 5. The update will start to roll out to those lucky enough to own a PS5 on Wednesday, April 14, 2021.
If you own a 2016 or 2017 model car from Mercedes-Benz in the US, you can now use either Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa as your voice-activated helper. Google Assistant will work with the Google Home speaker, while Alexa will work with the Amazon Echo family of speakers.
The new features mean that owners of those luxury vehicles with one or both of those speakers will be able to say things like, “Ok, Google, tell Mercedes me to start my car” while at home, and the car will start before the owner gets to the garage.
As you may recall, Xiaomi-affiliated YI Technology unveiled the successor to the original YI camera – the YI 4K Action Camera – a couple of months ago in China. The impressive action camera that hopes to compete with the GoPro Hero series and other similarly spec’d action cams is now looking at a U.S. launch on July 12.
