Back when the Moto X was first announced, many folks in Europe were disappointed to learn that Motorola would not be releasing the handset outside of the Americas. At the time Motorola promised that they still considered Europe a key priority for Motorola and that the Moto X was simply the first in a new product portfolio, hinting something new would eventually make its way to Europe. Since then, most of the world has seen theimpressively priced Moto G, but it appears that Motorola isn’t stopping there.

Motorola Mobility is notorious for locking the bootloaders on a large majority of their devices.  We’ve seen them release device after devices with locked bootloaders and even promises of said bootloaders being unlocked in the future without following through. In fact, the development and modding sectors of the Android community have even sought changes to Motorola’s bootloader policies via online petitions. A team of developers and modders are porting Google’s mobile OS to the Finnish manufacturer’s well-known phone. Known officially as Project Mayhem, this is the first attempt in bringing the Android OS to Nokia devices. If you have a Nokia N9 and you have been dying to get some Android goodness to your device, then this is great news for you.

A render of the watch was found inside the Facebook View app. The smartwatch space is heating up again thanks to Google and Samsung pushing Wear OS 3 as an alternative to Apple’s all-conquering wearable. But it looks like Facebook (also known as Meta) wants to get in on the action as well, and this first product looks rather strange.

Snapchat is getting a new trick that goes beyond sending self-destructing messages to your friends, now you can send money too. The new feature is called Snapcash and it is designed to easily send cash to friends and family. We know what you’re thinking, “why would anyone want to trust Snapchat, an app with a fairly bad security record, with their financials?” Thankfully Snapchat’s partner, Square, will be handling the security side of things.

The news comes after Nintendo warned of possible Switch shortages later this year. Getting a PS5 is a rather tough challenge right now due to the ongoing industry chip shortage. Sony held a private briefing with analysts after reporting its recent financial results, Bloomberg reported, and it purportedly told attendees that PS5 shortages could stretch into next year.

The already crowded online TV service market in the US may add another competitor sometime this summer. A new report claims Verizon is going to launch its own online TV package with dozens of channels to binge watch on the internet. The wait is nearly over. After months of speculation and rumors, Razer will hold a major media event later today in London. The successful gaming hardware and accessory company is expected to reveal its first entry in the crowded smartphone market during the event.
