With battle royale games seemingly here to stay, developer NetEase reportedly received approval to launch its self-developed battle royale intellectual property (IP). Previously called FortCraft, the game is now called BuildTopia and is coming to a phone near you.
From the gameplay video above, it’s not hard to see BuildTopia’s influences. The building elements are reminiscent of Minecraft, while the visuals are similar to those of Epic Games’ Fortnite. No wonder why BuildTopia was originally called FortCraft.

New laptops from Samsung, Lenovo, and Huawei were some of the early MWC 2022 fare as the show warms up. But it’s not just another laptop year: these represent the companies’ latest efforts to get into the hot PC market that’s been unfolding over the past two years of the pandemic.
Telus Mobility announced last week that internet users would soon be charged if they exceed their monthly data allowance. Previously, Telus had data caps but never enforced them. Now, they will be enforcing them.
Starting March 30, the company will automatically bill customers for additional 50 gigabyte “data buckets” if they slip past their allowance, according to its website. The first “bucket” will cost $5, subsequent pails of data will go for $10 apiece up to a monthly maximum fee of $75, and any unused data will expire at the end of the month.
If you are constantly charging more that one mobile device at a time, you should consider getting a desktop charger. There’s one on sale right now over on Amazon that’s worth checking out. The retailer is selling the RAVPower 60W USB desktop charger for $16.79, which is $23.20 off it inflated list price and around $8 less (33%) than the regular price from the past months.
This best-selling device can be quite useful, as it allows you to charge up to six devices at the same time.
There’s no time like the holiday season to sit down and watch a movie with your family. For that, you’ll need a big screen. One solution is the Crosstour Mini Projector which turns any wall into a home theater. It’s just $76 right now on Amazon.
You can adjust the Crosstour Mini to project a screen size of up to 176 inches — just imagine how much a TV that size would cost.
Understanding the importance of creating a complete and accessible ecosystem for Android users, Google recently rebranded and transformed the Android Market to Google Play. Under that one gigantic Play Store umbrella, users can now download not just apps, but also music, video, books, and even buy a phone.
Since people seem to be fixated on comparing the number of apps available on a certain platform, Google and its competitors still like to flaunt numbers every now and then, just to show who’s boss.

In the last few days, we’ve seen several major SoC makers introduced their latest and greatest offerings. From Nvidia’s Tegra 4 and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 600 and 800, to Samsung’s Exynos 5 Octa and ST Ericsson’s NovaThor L8580 – these are the mobile processors that will be powering devices this year and beyond.
We’ll have to add one more to the list, as Huawei’s Richard Yu has confirmed to Engadget that it will be challenging Samsung in the octa-core processor race with the company’s Cortex-A15 chip, which will be unveiled in the second half of 2013.

LG has successfully tested 6G THz data transmission at a distance of 100m. A special power amplifier was used to cope with signal dropoff. 6G probably won’t hit the market until at least 2028. Despite widespread 5G still being a pipedream for most smartphone owners, LG says it has accomplished a significant step towards the development of 6G, transmitting terahertz-range (THz) data outdoors in Berlin over a distance of 100m, or 328ft.
